A Florida man was arrested this week after a shocking video showed him fleeing a traffic stop, hitting another car and abandoning a child while fleeing from sheriff’s officials.
On Tuesday, police tried to pull over Jason Kenon, 24, who was driving with an older passenger and two children, ages 1 and 4, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Kenon, who had multiple warrants for his arrest, sped off and was seen wandering the streets of Orlando. Deputies on the ground followed Kenon in a car, while a patrol helicopter kept an eye on his car.

Video from the chopper shows Kenon trying to swerve around a black SUV in a parking lot before rear-ending it. He continued to drive after this, according to a video released by the sheriff’s office.
Kenon continued to stop in the residential area, letting the elderly passenger and one-year-old child out of the car. Deputies noted that the child, 4, tried to get out of the car but failed before Kenon hit the gas again.
Kenon was then shown standing next to a building, getting out of the car and lifting the child from the back seat. The child was seen following Kenon as he ran from the police.
Finally, Kenon ran into the cave, kicked off his shoes and started running barefoot in the other direction with the child, leaving him behind, according to the video.

After a few seconds, Kenoni ran straight to the road and tried to jump over the fence leading to the wooded area. Two police cars had gathered, and the deputies ordered him to get down.
Another deputy passed by and found a child nearby, who was crying and holding Kenon’s shoes. Both children were unharmed, the sheriff’s office said.
According to court records, Kenon faces seven counts, including aggravated fleeing and eluding, two counts of child neglect, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
