Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Danny Danon blasted Vanessa Frazier, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, in a heated debate over Frazier’s role in putting Israel on the sexual violence blacklist.
The two sparred at Friday’s UN International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence at the conference after a report Frazier co-authored put Israel on a sex abuse blacklist.
“You gave in to pressure. You gave in to the Secretary General’s eagerness to target Israel. By doing so,” Danon began before Frazier entered.
“Wait, I’m talking now!” Danon shouted.

“No, you will be silent, because I am speaking now! You have spoken, now I am speaking. You have spoken, and now I will speak. Shame, you are part of the torture in Israel. Shame, you can leave. You have spoken now, I am speaking. You can leave, shame on you! You are part of this, you are part of his obsession,” he continued.
The United Nations Secretary-General’s office listed Israeli organizations in an annex to the UN’s annual report on Sexual Abuse and Violence in May. The report specifically mentions that the Israel Defense Forces, Israel Prison Services and the border police of the country are Counter Terrorism Unit after the UN Secretary-General António Guterres called these organizations as “a group suspected of committing or facing patterns of rape or other.” sexual violence.”
Previously, Danon had criticized the UN decision to add Israel to the list of sanctions and announced the suspension of relations between Israel and Guterres’ office.

In a statement sent to Fox News, Danon’s office criticized the decision as “disgraceful” and noted that Israel has been included in the list of terrorist organizations.
“Israel is blacklisted alongside Hamas, ISIS, and Boko Haram. This is a moral disgrace that will be remembered as one of the black spots in António Guterres’ history,” he said.

On Friday, Danon also called on the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict and United Nations Secretary-General Pramila Patten to resign. He then rejected Frazier’s apparent attempt to defend Patten, noting that Patten was not at the meeting.

“Mrs. Patten was invited here, she chose not to be here. She will let me finish my words. Shame on you. You are part of this shameful behavior. You are part of it. You are ashamed. Shame on you,” Danon shouted.
You work for the UN and you will respect the law of the UN. Respect the law. We will not allow you to abuse us. We are a member, and you work for the UN, and you will be silent now.

Danon argued that Israel cooperated with the UN and that the organization did not independently review the evidence or give Israel a fair chance to address the allegations. He also accused Patten of lending credibility to a politically motivated campaign against Israel.

“If verifying the facts is not Ms. Patten’s job, then what exactly is her responsibility?” Danon asked.
“You knew that Israel was cooperating. You knew that you did not review the evidence yourself. However, you chose to stand behind these lies. You should have refused. You should have resigned. You tried to tarnish Israel’s name. But the stain is not on Israel. The stain is on you,” he said during the UN meeting.

Fox News Digital reached out to a spokesperson for Patten and Frazier but did not immediately receive a response.
