‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ star Collin Gosselin refers to his mother before the memory

Collin Gosselin sent a thinly veiled message to his mother just weeks after announcing his upcoming memoir about growing up on reality television.
Collin, 22, shared a New York Post article about Kate, 51, on her Instagram stories over the weekend, which read, “Kate Gosselin ‘freaking out’ before recalling estranged son Collin’s bombshell: ‘You know it’s about to hit a fan.’
He blacked out his mother’s face, then posted the words of his fan saying, “What is done in the dark will always come out,” according to People magazine.

Kate, 51, is reportedly “persevering” about what her son may reveal in his memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.”

“Kate didn’t know the book was working,” a source told the Daily Mail before admitting that “Collin hasn’t spoken to his mother since he dropped her off at school.”
“He didn’t expect this to ever happen. Now he’s venting because he knows it’s going to hit the fan.”
Collin grew up on television as cameras followed the Gosselins for years, first with “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and then “Kate Plus 8.” (Donna Svennevik)
“Jon & Kate Plus 8” aired on TLC from 2007-09, when the former couple divorced. A year later, the show was renamed “Kate Plus 8,” which continued until 2017.

Collin was allegedly diagnosed with behavioral problems and, at the age of 12, Kate sent him to the Fairmount Behavioral Health System – a psychiatric hospital in Philadelphia.
“I couldn’t, with my resources here, meet his needs,” Kate said in an episode of “Kate Plus 8.” Meanwhile, “Kate Plus 8” continued to play with seven other children. Jon said he didn’t know Collin had been sent to the rehab center until he had lunch with the kids one day and Collin wasn’t there.
At the time, Kate had full custody of the children and insisted she did not have to tell her estranged husband about Collin’s whereabouts because of the court order.

Although Kate has reportedly told People that there is “no truth” to Collin’s allegations, she reportedly has “proof to back everything up.”
“Kate can’t stop this book from getting out, but I have no doubt that she wants to get out,” said the insider.
Collin’s half-siblings – Aaden, Alexis, Hannah, Joel and Leah – and twin sisters Cara and Madelyn, were also reportedly left out of the memoir.

The brothers are said to “not really know the truth about what happened to him” apart from what their mother relayed, said the source.

Representatives for Kate did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Earlier this month, Collin revealed that everything he said would be released in October, and revealed a photo of himself from childhood with his mother covering her mouth with her hand.
“For a long time I am not sure that I will ever tell this story. As I grow up, millions of people watch my life on television,” he wrote.
