Ava Phillippe is following in her famous parents’ footsteps with a starring role in a new music video.
The 26-year-old star appeared in country star Ella Langley’s latest music video for “Choosin’ Texas,” which dropped on Wednesday, April 1.
In the music video, which also stars Miranda Lambert, Luke Grimes and Kaitlin Butts, Ava plays a woman in a bar who catches the eye of Langley’s boyfriend in the video starring Grimes.
It is then revealed in a series of flashbacks that Grimes and Ava’s characters have a history and have been romantically linked in the past. After Langley realizes that Grimes can’t keep his eyes off Ava, he seeks Lambert’s help, and the two end up leaving together, leaving Grimes’ character outside the bar alone.

“This was such a sweet photo shoot and I couldn’t be more grateful to be featured in this star,” Ava wrote on Instagram. “Ella is a true storyteller and witnessing her creativity has me very excited to see what she does next.”
Ava is no stranger to the glitz and glamor that comes with being on set, as she grew up with actress, Reese Witherspoon, and actor, Ryan Phillippe, as her mom and dad.
Witherspoon talked about Ava finding her footing in the acting world during an interview with Extra in March 2024, telling the outlet that her daughter is “still getting her feet wet” as she tries to “figure out what she really wants to do.”
“That’s what always annoys me about all this talk of favoritism and industry,” he explained. “You know, a lot of people grow up and end up doing what their parents did, you know, to one degree or another. … To me, I’m always annoyed by children of actors and singers when people bring that up because, yeah, that’s what they grew up with.”
Her parents are known for their work together in “Cruel Intentions,” and for Witherspoon’s work in “Legally Blonde,” “Big Little Lies,” and “Walk the Line,” for which she won an Academy Award.

Before starring in Langley’s music video, Ava appeared in one episode of “Ransom Canyon” and “Doctor Odyssey.”
Langley first released “Choosin’ Texas” in October 2025, and it went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in February. After being dethroned by Bad Bunny’s “DTMF” and later Taylor Swift’s “Opalite,” Langley found his way back to the top in early March.
The song continued to slide down the charts and made a comeback, climbing back to No. 1 for the fourth time on March 28, making Langley’s highest-charting artist so far in 2026, with four appearances in that spot.
Her fourth appearance at the top of the list officially dethroned Swift, who has topped the list three times so far this year, with her singles, “Ophelia’s Future” and “Opalite.”

Not only did Lambert appear in the music video for the song, she also co-wrote the hit song with Langley.
Speaking to Country Countdown USA in March, Langley shared that he and Lambert were “overwhelmed” by the song’s success.
“We were talking on FaceTime the other night. We made history with this song, we’re confused and thankful. We loved this song, but we never thought it would do this. There’s no way you can predict it,” he said. He said to me, ‘You are more important than this job.’ He made me take care of myself. Being with someone like that made me feel good.”
