‘DWTS’ judge Carrie Ann Inaba hospitalized after doctors threaten mid-flight

Carrie Ann Inaba was rushed to the hospital after a medical emergency occurred during the flight.
The longtime “Dancing With the Stars” judge revealed that she experienced a sudden health problem while visiting New York City, sharing details of the condition in a candid Instagram post on April 16.
“Yesterday was quite a day,” Inaba wrote along with an Instagram video showing him being transported by ambulance. “I was on my way to NY for something I love. But I had a little ’emergency’ on the plane.”

The television presenter described how quickly his condition worsened during the flight.
“I just got really sick,” Inaba said. “And when it seemed like there was food poisoning, I also broke into a cold sweat, felt dizzy and my arms went numb.”
Inaba, 58, has been open about her ongoing health challenges, including a bout with Sjogren’s, an autoimmune disease that can cause many symptoms.
Despite her experience managing chronic illness, she admits now that it was different.

“Usually I handle most things in my life by myself,” he explained. “Like most people living with an autoimmune disease, I carry a health tool kit and prepare for the worst, but this scared me.”
The situation worsened as turbulence hit mid-flight, limiting immediate assistance.

“Also when I was locked in the toilet, we again faced chaos and the flight attendants were also asked to stay in their seats,” added Inaba. “I didn’t want anyone else to put themselves at risk… but when my arms went numb, it was time to call for help.”

Inaba later thanked both the flight crew and their colleagues for intervening at a critical time.
“I received help on the flight from the flight attendants and the doctor on board,” he said in a statement sent to USA Today. “For which I am very grateful, I went to the hospital when I arrived, and I also got fluids.”

Once they were on the ground, paramedics took over.

In a post on Instagram, Inaba thanked the first responders who “treated me with care and respect during a scary time even when my blood pressure dropped,” when he was rushed to the hospital.

After receiving treatment and fluids, Inaba was released and continued his recovery at his hotel.
“I am resting and looking forward to returning to my legal profession soon,” he said. “I am very grateful to the people who took care of me and helped me in this terrible incident.”

Inaba has been a judge on “Dancing With the Stars” since 2005. She is expected to appear at this summer’s inaugural “Dancing with the Stars Con 26,” a fan convention centered around the long-running competition series.
