Trump says the media won’t give him credit for progress on the Iran ceasefire

NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!
President Trump has stalled a deal with Iran that seemed impossible.
It doesn’t matter.
Trump pressured Israel to stop its attack on Lebanon.
Now.

The stock market hit record highs as investors concluded that the war was about to end.
It’s a big story.
No matter what the boy does, his opponents will not give him credit.
TRUMP PUSHED IRAN TO THE END — BUT HAVE WE DEFEAT THE CENTER?
And when the murderous mullahs close the Strait of Hormuz again—in revenge, they say, because the US enforces its embargo on Iranian ports—you can safely hear that the peace deal may collapse.
Trump told ABC’s Jonathan Karl yesterday that Iran had committed “serious violations” of the ceasefire, but he was still confident about the deal:
“It’s going to happen. One way or the other, the good way or the hard way. It’s going to happen. You can quote me.”
VANCE WARNS IRAN WILL ‘FIND’ TRUMP ‘NOT THE RIGHT ONE’ IF DEFENDANT DEAL FALLS UP
In X, Karl was hammered by—get this—calling the president to comment on a major setback in the war.
“Why compromise yourself as a reporter and post BS from a pathological liar?” said another woman.

“Jon, just stop,” said another female poster. “You know he doesn’t have a clue so he’s just feeding you lies.”
NEED TO KNOW: 5 BIG THINGS TO TAKE AWAY FROM TRUMP’S IRAN CANCELLATION
After Karl’s exchange, Trump tweeted: “NO MORE MR. NICE GUY1”
The banner headline on Drudge reads “LEAK: TRUMP grigged WITH FEAR.” This was tied to a Wall Street Journal piece about Trump’s frustration with the war, sometimes losing his focus, and considering giving himself the Medal of Honor.
When Tehran shot down two Indian-flagged ships in a naval base, it was a worrying sign. The speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad Ghalibaf, says that the two sides are far from a final agreement. Maybe that’s a bargaining chip.
HEGSETH DECLARES ‘DEFINITIVE FACIAL VICTORY’ OVER IRAN
The bottom line is that most Democrats and most of the media won’t accept it if the president does something that seems right. Because it’s Trump.
Now some of this is based on Trump’s decision, under pressure from Israel, to start a war of his own choosing, to carry out airstrikes on Iran without a nod from Congress or our so-called European friends.

Maybe that was a bad decision. It certainly wasn’t a popular thing.
IRAN WAR NEAR ‘END’ AS TRUMP’S EYES FINAL FRONTIER — WHAT THE END MIGHT LOOK LIKE
Seven weeks later, a new Politico poll finds 38% of those polled support the strikes—and nearly half say Trump spends more time on world affairs than domestic affairs.
The president’s fiery rhetoric didn’t help, from “Shut the F-in’ Strait” on Easter Sunday to vowing two days later that “all civilization is going to die tonight.”
So I understand those who oppose the war, especially Trump’s former acolytes in communications.
STEVE FORBES: NO MORE DECEIVING – AMERICA MUST FINISH THE JOB IN IRAN
But whether you got lucky or just fell into the right situation, you definitely deserve some recognition.
Trump says his tough and sometimes ambiguous rhetoric kept Iran’s leaders safe from the bombings. And, of course, his recent delay in a bombing moratorium created a vacuum for the tentative agreement (which apparently expires on Tuesday).

Come on: If President Biden had succeeded in ending the dual wars—with Iran and Lebanon—Democrats would have hailed him as a commander-in-chief and a powerful peacemaker. (And most Republicans would disagree.)
TRUMP’S IRAN STRATEGY REFLECTS ‘UNDERSTANDING DOCTRINE’ BETWEEN INCIDENT THREATS AND CEASE AND IMMEDIATE
Trump, who has never shied away from credit, wrote on Friday: “The Failing New York Times, FAKE NEWS CNN, and others, don’t know what to do. They’re looking for a reason to criticize President Donald J. Trump on the situation in Iran, but they’re not getting it.”
Meanwhile, Trump has not lost his talent for getting into his story.
By posting that fake AI image of himself as Jesus, and following Christ comforting him, the president angered many Catholic followers who considered the images blasphemous. Trump was supposed to remove the first one within 12 hours, which he never did.

I know why he did it. Trump wanted to draw attention to his war of words with Pope Leo, and this ensured that the topic would dominate the news for days. He even asked JD Vance, a converted Catholic, to warn the American-born Pope to be careful discussing theology.
However, I don’t agree with Pete Hegseth (who presented a Bible verse actually lifted from “Pulp Fiction”) presenting on “Trump hating” heritage sources. I can’t believe they declared the war as a failure.

But in watching the show after Trump’s announcement, I saw the direct reports about the president’s review quickly disappeared into a mess of Jesus, opposing NATO, the Epstein files, RFK’s apparent change in vaccines, the defeat of Victor Orban – all the same things that they would have talked about if there had been no progress on the war.
WHY TRUMP, IRAN SEE LIGHT YEARS FROM DIVING WITH ANY AMOUNT TO END THE WAR
Despite the president’s repeated declarations of victory, we have to ask where this will leave his primary reason for the airstrikes—preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
Whether such an outcome was imminent or not, I did not see the Iranian people, who lie for a living, agreeing to lose their long-term ambitions.
What I watched instead was Trump saying he would strongly consider unfreezing $20 billion in Iranian assets if the US would remove enriched uranium – and underground nuclear “dust” – from the country. Perhaps with that price tag, it is worthy of the world’s greatest terrorist state.

But as we recently learned again, the devil is always in the details.
Let’s say the ceasefire is lifted, Hormuz is reopened, and a deal is made—setting aside, for the sake of argument, all ideas of how this train can be destroyed.

Will the Democrats and the mainstream media even begrudgingly admit that Donald Trump pulled off something historic?
I’m not so sure about that.
