NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!

Jeremy Renner gets real about his journey to recovery following his horrific snowplow accident in 2023.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Renner talked about his new relationship with RapidSOS and detailed his deep connection with first responders after his accident three years ago left him with muscle damage, 38 broken bones and a lifelong recovery.

“I mean, I’ll be recovering for the rest of my life. I think it goes beyond acting. I probably didn’t want to go back to acting because I had to focus so much on real life. The non-fiction kind of stuff. Going into fiction was a little difficult, but I’m glad I’m back doing it,” Renner began.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Renner said being able to be the company’s megaphone is an honor.

RapidSOS operates the world’s largest intelligent security network, empowering 911 and first responders with critical data from mobile phones, connected devices, vehicles, and sensors, in real time as emergencies unfold.

RapidSOS and Renner are linked by a deep personal knowledge and shared mission to support first responders.

In January 2023, Renner was seriously injured in a snow accident on his Nevada property. Local 911 dispatchers and first responders navigated challenging terrain and weather conditions to reach him and ultimately save his life. That experience left a lasting impression.

Two years later, many of the same dispatch centers and agencies that responded to Renner’s emergency began using RapidSOS technology.

“Peptide therapies are great for changing hormones as we age. You don’t have to be at risk doing any of the things I do.”

As Renner learned more about how modern emergency response works, and how technology and data can remove uncertainty from responders in critical moments, he chose to become a partner and investor in the company.

Other than that, I’ll talk about it with the 911 operators and my friends in the fire department and the ER and that kind of thing,” he said. “But now it can be done in a really, really global way, because the biggest thing we need in emergencies is information. And the lack of knowledge is where time starts to affect us. RapidSOS was a great platform for me to be able to talk about something I’m passionate about.”

Renner also appears in a short documentary called “Behind The Emergency,” which focuses on the world of emergency medicine.

Renner is not a traditional celebrity spokesperson. He is an active partner and investor and helps elevate the national conversation about how technology can better support the people who protect communities every day.

The “Mayor of Kingstown” star explained that even before his accident, he was very supportive of first responders. However, “not dying” in a near-fatal accident with a snow plow made him want to support them even more.

Since the accident, Renner said he has made his life easier. “Be with my family, be better every day and do acts of service and give to others as much and as best as I can. And that’s how I choose to live my life from moving forward from the accident,” commented the actor.

“Peptide therapies are very good for changing hormones as we get older. You don’t have to risk doing any of the things I do. These are just things of life as we get older, but those are also very key to my recovery from muscle injuries. 38 broken bones, all that kind of stuff,” he said.
