Rapper Kid Cudi has kicked the singer off his tour after what he called “offensive comments” from rapper MIA about illegal immigrants and being a “Brown Republican voter.”

In a post on Monday’s Instagram feed titled, “Tour update,” Kid Cudi wrote, “MIA is no longer on tour. I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started the tour that I didn’t want anything annoying in my plans, because I already knew what time it was, and I was assured that things were understood.”

During a tour Saturday in Dallas at the Dos Equis Pavilion, MIA said, “I got canceled for a lot of reasons. I never thought I’d get canceled for being a Brown Republican voter.”

Variety report that he also said, “I can’t do ‘Illegal,’ even though some of you may be in the audience,” and that his words were shared on social media and on forums like Reddit.

One user on Reddit posted, “Did anyone catch all that racist sh-t MIA said at the dos equis show? She did that weird thing about Indians and being a republic, then got booed on stage after she was “unlawful (her song) like half the people here” Her whole set left a bad taste in my mouth.”

Kid Cudi said he was taking MIA off the Rebel Ragers Tour, which started in Phoenix, Arizona, and is expected to hit more than 30 cities across the country, because of his lyrics.

“After the last few shows, I received messages from fans who were annoyed by his moaning,” he said. “This, to me, is very disappointing, and I will not have someone on my tour saying offensive words that offend my fans. Thank you for your understanding.”
