The country met with Rep. Daniel Sachs Goldman, DN.Y., the wealthy backer of Levi jeans, back in 2019 when he was appointed to be the lead counsel in the first impeachment of President Donald Trump. Since being elected to Congress in 2022, his reputation as a staunch anti-Trump has grown.
So it’s shocking, and no doubt to the delight of Trump, that according to Emerson’s new poll, Goldman is trailing Democratic Socialist-leaning Brad Lander by more than 30 points. In other words, you are starting to smoke.
Goldman must have thought, back when he was leading the case against Trump, that he had one foot in the White House, but how the tables have turned.
Fans of the president, and frankly, the rule of law, can’t be blamed for feeling a little schadenfreude at the political destruction of the disgraced Goldman, which helped turn Trump’s “perfect” phone call with Ukrainian President Vlodomir Zelenskyy into a meaningless national nightmare.

Perhaps no Democrat alive has spent more time staring at little red lights and more warning that Trump is an existential threat to humanity than Goldman, but in the end, it looks like that’s not enough.
As much as the Goldman scandal is an electoral embarrassment, it also tells us a deeper truth about the state of the Democratic Party today. Because unlike alleged sexist and former anti-Trump House member Eric Swalwell, Goldman doesn’t have a scandal that haunts him.

Goldman is not punished in the election for anything he did or failed to do. He’s not Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., who often steals the party with his voice and votes. No, Goldman’s only problem is that he is not a socialist.
Lander, the failed mayor of Gotham, is supported by Mayor Zohran “Madman” Mamdani and his Democratic Socialist machine, and in Goldman’s predominantly White and highly educated district, socialism is all the rage.

Now, it was possible for Goldman to slip into a Che Guverra t-shirt and start handing out little red books to stay competitive, except for one thing: Goldman supports Israel.
MAMDANI IS A PRESENT THREAT TO JEWISH NEW YORKERS
Lander, like Goldman who is Jewish, has bowed before the altar of anti-Israel lunacy and has swung in obedience from supporting military aid to the Jewish state to opposing it. At least so far, that’s as far as Goldman will go.
Let’s be clear: In the eyes of many prominent Democrats, from politicians to podcasters, Goldman’s support for Israel is considered support for genocide, and this is the reality that Israel’s supporters and Jewish Democrats face.
Goldman would appeal to his people, to make them understand that his policies in Israel are complicated, but where was his sense of logic when he gave the worst possible explanation for Trump’s “unprecedented” call?

Goldman has never sought to treat Trump or his administration fairly, or to give them a millimeter of doubt. So it’s fitting that many Democrats are ready to kick him out the door, no questions asked.
As Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez handpicked by Chris Raab who won the Congressional primary in Philadelphia, and Lander cruising in New York, socialist positions among Democrats in Congress are growing rapidly.
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wants to be the speaker of the house, but he may end up like the general secretary of the Politburo.
LEFT, LEFT AND LEFT: RADICAL DEMOCRATS, BIG CITY MAYORS
Goldman, like many Democrats, thought he could simply ignore the rising tide of socialism in his party. He must have believed that good service against Trump would earn him enough points to keep his seat.
But gratitude is not a quality valued by socialists. Change is very important for that. History teaches us that useful idiots who work for communism always meet with good and tasty desserts.

No one needs to cry for Goldman. He will return to his life of leisure wealth, barring a miraculous return. But there is reason to worry about the country, as one of our great parties is succumbing to socialism.
Sadly, instead of fighting to keep his team healthy, Goldman watched them go crazy and stayed silent. Now the lunatics want him, no one can say he doesn’t deserve him.
