‘Real Housewives’ star Brandi Glanville says she had a throat infection

Brandi Glanville is worried she has a “sexually transmitted worm” in her throat.

Glanville, 53, opened up about her medical concerns with former movie star Lisa Ann while on the “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star believes she contracted the disease while dating someone in the adult industry.

Lisa Ann noted that it was “very common in the set” and that most people don’t know what to look for when making a diagnosis.

“We had to train our makeup artists that when a new member of talent appears, they must walk naked in a well-lit window, and check their bodies to see if there are any patches because they are incredibly contagious,” said Ann.

Ringworm is a common, highly contagious fungal infection of the skin, hair, or nails, according to the Mayo Clinic. Despite its name, the infection is not caused by a worm.

Glanville thought he had a sore throat, until his girlfriend told him about the condition.

“I didn’t know anything about it, and we’re fighting this weird thing,” Glanville said before noting that he had all kinds of negative tests.

“You can see them when they’re outside your skin, but they can pierce like they’re in your throat, they can go deep into your ears and all that.”

He mentioned that his partner was “very close,” which could be where he contracted the virus before passing it on to him.

“I think it’s staph and ringworm, both, because … I don’t know,” he admitted.

Glanville previously said he believed in her he took the parasite after visiting Morocco in 2023. She suffered facial paralysis and was initially diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema.

After the initial diagnosis, he suspected that he had contracted the parasite in Morocco and said that he felt a tingling sensation in his face.

Glanville previously told Fox News Digital that while no one has figured out what’s wrong with her unmoving face, doctors have suggested it “could be a parasite, but they’re not sure.”

Angioedema “is a chest-like reaction that affects the deeper layers of the skin. It can occur with hives or alone,” according to the Mayo Clinic. His symptoms remained, and actually worsened. Glanville wasn’t convinced that angioedema was the problem, and she put her health first in her mind to find an answer.
