John Schneider accuses Democrats of benefiting from Trump’s policies they reject

“Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider took aim at Democrats, accusing them of rejecting President Donald Trump’s ideas despite benefiting from them.
Schneider blasted Democrats as “nothing but an embarrassment” on Thursday’s episode of his podcast, “Drinks with Dee Dee and John.” Schneider and his wife, Dee Dee Sorvino, spoke at length about the ongoing war in Iran and touched on the State of the Union address.
“As my grandmother said, they continue to throw out the baby with the bath water,” he said. “They refuse to even think that President Trump might have a good idea, that he might have just done something good. He might have just done something that benefits everyone.”

“And here’s the ‘error in control,’ as old Roscoe would say … all these wonderful things that President Trump and his cabinet are doing to keep the world safe, to keep America great, to do all of that, the Democrats are benefiting from that.”
He criticized those who refuse to help but still agree, saying, “That’s not the way I was raised.”
Schneider also compared the impact of Trump’s policies on his neighbors to a fence, saying that cooperation ultimately helps everyone.
“If you have a property line between you and your neighbor and you want to put up a fence, then what you do is go over to your neighbor. You say, ‘Hey Charlie, I’m thinking about putting up a fence. Do you want to divorce me? Or do you want to look behind the fence? What do you want to do here?’

Schneider said a better choice would be cooperation.
“Let’s not divide. Let’s make a really good fence,” he said, adding that refusing to share the effort “isn’t being neighborly.”
“You have to help each other,” Scheider said.

Schneider went public with his political beliefs after Trump took office. The actor suspects that he is being targeted by Hollywood after he went public with his vote for Trump in the 2016 election.
“People talk about Hollywood as if it’s independent,” he previously told Fox News Digital. “Hollywood is a line item on the global billionaires spreadsheet. So, Hollywood has to do what it’s told.”
“I know a lot of people in Hollywood, and I really don’t believe that they don’t have enough to believe a lot of the things they put out as fact,” he added. “But as the oldest song used to say, they owe their soul to the company store.”
