John Stamos gets his first tattoo at age 62 inspired by the Beach Boys logo

Fans praised John Stamos this week after the actor revealed his first tattoo at the age of 62.
“Guess who got his first tattoo?” the “Full House” alum wrote in a video clip showing the inking process with a Native American horseman looking up at the sky.
“The Beach Boys placed this image: ‘Appeals to the Great Spirit’ above Brother Records as a symbol of artistic freedom and trust in the highest artistic medium,” Stamos revealed in the caption.

He continued, “Recently I have felt that same pull in my life. I am entering this new chapter of my career, taking big turns, following work wherever it leads.”
The actress, who stars in the new movie produced by Danny DeVito, “Drag,” added, “The time felt right, so I put that Great Spirit on my arm as a reminder to always be brave, to always be open, and to trust where art is taking me.”
“Rockstars!!” one fan wrote, another said, “Absolutely love this! Can’t wait to see you play with The Beach Boys Sunday!!!”
One commenter commented “You’ve gone too far! It looks great” while a fan called Stamos “ugly.”
“I thought it was going to be an Elvis tattoo,” one fan joked, referring to Stamos and his “Full House” character Uncle Jesse’s obsession with Elvis Presley.

In 2019, Stamos confused some fans when he shared a photo of himself getting a fake tattoo of Nick Jonas’ face on his arm as part of an inside joke where both singers share their love for each other on social media.
Jonas has posted a picture of himself sleeping with a dress that has a picture of Stamos on it.

Last summer, Stamos told Us Weekly that he was looking to “play a little more real” in his career choices, saying, “I’m looking at my ‘Bad Break’.”
Stamos called his part in “Drag” “probably one of the darkest, weirdest roles I’ve ever taken.”
He said, thanks to projects like “Drag” and his role as a lawyer/gynecologist in Kristen Wiig’s “Palm Royale,” he would accept his permanent link to “Full House” “because I’m not just that. I’ve proven to myself that I can do other things. Whether people see other things or not, it doesn’t really matter.”
Stamos will also be in the second season of the Netflix drama “The Hunting Wives.”
“I’m at this stage of my career where I’m looking for challenging, different roles,” Stamos told People recently.

He called “The Hunting Wives” a little “darker” than he’s known for.
“Like I said, I can get a little bit more than other players, for a while at least — until these things start coming out where it’s like, ‘Oh, Stamos,'” he added.
