Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother has been arrested for allegedly assaulting the star’s father

Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother, Kate Major Lohan, was arrested in Harris County, Texas on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting her husband, Michael Lohan.
According to inmate records obtained by Fox News Digital, Kate was booked on suspicion of assaulting a family or a family member in a previous case on April 14. She will appear in court on Thursday.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Kate – who shares two children with Michael, allegedly hit her estranged husband and groped him during an argument at her home.

Additionally, Kate allegedly threw a steak knife at Michael.

The newspaper reported that Kate was allegedly drunk when she was arrested.
Throughout their relationship, the couple – who married in 2014, have had their share of run-ins with the law.
Last year, Michael was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, for violating probation, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
“Michael voluntarily surrendered yesterday and is scheduled for a hearing on my motions for release tomorrow,” Lohan’s attorney, Robert Gershman, told Fox News Digital. “We hope that Your Excellency will carefully consider this matter. Based on the circumstances, we expect the release of Mr. Lohan.”

The arrest came a few weeks after Michael was arrested for allegedly assaulting Kate in Texas.

In court documents obtained by Fox News Digital at the time, Lohan was indicted in February 2025 on a felony count of assault called “persistent domestic violence.”
At the time, a representative of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News Digital, “On Friday, February 21, 2025, the complainant (Kate Lohan) was going to be followed up by a doctor, when the defendant (Michael Lohan) was seen by Ms. Lohan in the parking lot of the building. A 911 call was made, and deputies responded.”

“He told the members that Lohan had pushed him out of the chair where they were sitting a few days ago. The complainant felt pain and discomfort. The female deputy was able to see bruises on the complainant’s body,” the statement continued.
In a statement sent exclusively to Fox News Digital, Kate said, “I pray for privacy for my children and myself and I pray that justice will finally be served.”

When he was arrested in February, Mike Quinn, Lohan’s representative, shared a statement with Fox News Digital, writing, “We want to take a moment to recognize Michael Lohan as a devoted father, and I just know him as a loving husband, and a man who proudly kept his sanity for more than ten years. His devotion to his little boys and his wife shows the deep support of his family, Kakael and the deep devotion of his family. He continuously stood by Kate’s side, giving his support on her journey to in sobriety—a challenge they have faced with courage and compassion as friends of both Michael and Kate, my wife and I truly care about them and believe in their character.
Lohan and Kate have two sons, Landon Major Lohan and Logan Michael Lohan.
