US official says JD Vance has made significant progress in US-Iran talks

Vance proposes agreements on open inspection of Hormuz Strait, IAEA
Vice President JD Vance announces a major breakthrough in US-Iran peace talks held in Switzerland, highlighting Iran’s agreement to return International Atomic Energy Agency nuclear inspectors. Vance also proposed using unfrozen Iranian goods to buy US agricultural products and established a de-escalation mechanism to maintain the stability of the ceasefire. The ‘few’ panels raise questions about enforcement and long-term regional impact.

FIRST ON FOX: An American official involved in US-Iran peace talks said Vice President JD Vance had made “significant progress” in the talks, adding that “foreign propaganda” was spreading the lie that the Qatari prime minister had snubbed Vance.
A US official told Fox News Digital that Iranian state media fabricated reports that Vance was dismissed by the Qatari prime minister and the Iranian leadership threatened to walk away from the negotiating table.
“The vice president and the American delegation left Switzerland today after making significant progress and participating in historic negotiations that lasted until the end of the weekend,” a US official present at the talks told Fox News Digital. “The negotiations set the stage for ongoing negotiations so that the president’s unparalleled efforts can lead to an agreement that is good for the American people.”
“That foreign propaganda does not help anyone except bad faith players who want to disrupt the talks,” the official added.
IRAN’S ‘UNIVERSAL’ US EMPLOYEES SPEAK ASSURANCES ARE ONE EXPRESSION: EXPERT

As Vance and White House officials discuss a peace deal at the Bürgenstock resort on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, a CBS poll on Sunday showed that 78% of Americans say the conflict between the US and Iran should end.
Reports from Iranian state media have created confusion about the progress of peace talks in Switzerland, with critics saying the Qataris have defied Vance after Qatar’s prime minister and Qatar’s chief negotiator, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, passed by Vance and warmly greeted Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instead.
“The American delegation had just spent many hours with the Qataris and there was no need to greet someone who had just spent many hours,” said an American official. “The decision to give statements together before the meeting was made suddenly, that’s why there was no stage greeting.”

TRUMP AGAIN SAYS A DEAL IS CLOSE, AND CONFIRMS A LAST MINUTE DEAL WITH IRAN, BUT THE DETAILS ARE STILL SECRET.
In the interview today with Qatar’s official media outlet, Al Jazeera, Al Thani denied denying Vance, saying he had just spent hours with Vance and had not yet greeted Sharif. He blamed the media for talking badly about the meeting. “And they just made the issue very big,” he said.
Hopes for a peace deal have shown signs of life in the US, even without a final deal. The New York Times reported that oil prices fell on Monday amid expectations that Vance would maintain peace during talks in Switzerland.
Vance’s critics spoke to the media about the vice president’s handling of the negotiations, echoing the sentiments of protesters who have supported the Islamic Republic of Iran since the war began earlier this year. Some critics say Vance is pandering to the Iranians and that the Iranians are getting more out of the peace deal than the US.

FAR-LEFT NETWORK WATCHES FLYING IRAN’S FLAG OVER VICTORY AMERICA AND LOOKS FOR ‘IMPOSSIBLE WAR’ ON US
A Fox News Digital investigation found that a network of pro-communist groups sponsored by Neville Roy Singham, an American-born technology expert living in China, supporting the Chinese Communist Party and allies, such as the Islamic Republic of Iran, was responsible for many of the protests that took place.
In April, nonprofits in Singham’s network rallied to protest President Donald Trump’s “war on crime,” painting blood on their hands to symbolize what they called the administration’s “extermination threats” against Iran.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation, a self-proclaimed pro-China communist group, contacted its supporters through its propaganda platform, “News of Freedom,” to “keep up the pressure” on the war.

VANCE SAYS US-IRAN TALKS END WITHOUT COMMUNICATION AFTER 21 HOURS OF TALKS.
In 2017, Singham married the founder of CodePink, Jodie Evans, and began pouring $278 million into a network of groups that fueled anti-American protests in the United States, supporting the People’s Republic of China and now backing the Islamic Republic of Iran, China’s strategic partner and major source of its oil imports.
Despite the concerted propaganda defending Iran, the administration has maintained its goal of denuclearizing Iran. For more than three months, US-Israeli forces have been fighting Iranian forces, a conflict that the Americans have expressed concern about.
Vance’s trip to Switzerland marks his second attempt to end the conflict. In April, he traveled to Islamabad, Pakistan, along with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Special Envoy for Peace Jared Kushner to negotiate peace. Negotiations failed and Vance returned home, but he remains a key figure in finalizing the ceasefire.

His involvement in the debates also led to an increase in bettors placing the winning vice president in 2028.
In March, Kalshi showed Vance being beaten for the 2028 presidential race by both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and California Governor Gavin Newsom. As Vance pursues a peace deal this month, he has risen to the top of the next presidential election cycle.
