A Knicks event attendee who left trash on the side of the road, identified as a JPMorgan Chase DEI executive, was immediately fired.

The New York Knicks winning the NBA Finals was a huge achievement for the organization and its players, and it also brought a happy ending to a long drought for the fan base.

It was also an excuse for those fans to engage in some, well, New York behavior after the results and celebrations. Especially during the celebratory parade that goes down the city tunnel “Canyon of Heroes” on June 18.

Fans climb on top of cars, garbage trucks and any high place to get the best view. But none drew more attention than the woman who spotted a Knicks-colored trash can and dumped its contents on the street.

It exposed everything that is wrong with sports fans not being able to behave properly during celebrations and shows. And it turns out that the woman in charge shows everything wrong with corporate diversity, equality and inclusion culture.

On Tuesday night, the New York Post reported that the woman was identified as Angie Baez, a 40-year-old financial industry executive. Seriously. The Post report identified his LinkedIn profile, listing him as “Executive Director of Card Industry Community Engagement and Affiliate Marketing at JPMorgan Chase.”

Her previous work included serving as “Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” at The Infatuation, a website that reviews local restaurants and activities. Chase bought the site in 2021 to grow its portfolio of content based on the lifestyle of cardholders.

The newspaper then contacted JPMorgan Chase, which confirmed that Baez was fired, in a statement he said, “This employee is no longer with the company.

His biography on the Infatuation website initially stated that his “efforts have helped the position [The Infatuation] as a trailblazer in the pursuit of a balanced and relatable food media industry.” Removed from site.

“As a shining embodiment of Dominican heritage, Bronx roots, and passion for storytelling, art, and culture, Angie continues to lead the way toward an inclusive and equitable future for food sources,” the report reads. He also had previous work experience in similar capacities at Squarespace and Saks Fifth Avenue.

This is a perfect example of a DEI conflict. His mission is to promote equality and tolerance. In his private life, he acts like this. Throwing garbage on the side of the road so that someone else can confront him, because he wants to steal public property. It’s not equality, it’s privilege. And now he is being punished for it. Even though he knows how the industry works, he will get back to teaching others about inclusion and equity in no time.
