Barry Morphew allegedly used a false name while living in Arizona before his arrest in the murder of his wife, even living with a woman for a month while hiding his true identity, according to a newly released arrest report.

Morphew was indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree murder following a hearing on June 20, 2025, in connection with the death of his wife, Suzanne Morphew, 49, who was the mother of two daughters. She disappeared on Mother’s Day 2020 in Colorado, where the couple lived. Barry Morphew was arrested in Goodyear, Arizona, about 11 hours from where his wife went missing.

He will appear in court Wednesday afternoon for a pre-trial conference in October.

A newly released arrest report obtained by Fox News Digital through a public records request alleges that Morphew used the name “Lee Moore” while living in Arizona, and says he moved in with a woman about a month before his arrest.

The woman told Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers that she only knew Morphew as “Lee Moore.” He said he started living with her on May 1, 2025, and moved to many of her places. Barry Morphew and an unknown woman met in late December 2024.

On June 15, for unknown reasons, the woman said Morphew revealed his identity and said his wife, Suzanne Morphew, was “kidnapped” in Colorado, the arrest report said.

According to the arrest report, authorities found an AR-15 rifle and a silencer inside Morphew’s safe in his apartment.

“I was shocked that, and, I mean, I was so caught up in everything,” Loots said. “I spent, honestly, as soon as I found out about it, I spent like two hours reading articles about it. I was like, I was very interested, because I was like, this— it’s not happening,” he said.

Loots said he first saw Morphew, or Bruce, as he knew the alleged killer, after the coronavirus pandemic. He said Morphew would drink beer, often switching between Miller Lite and Coors Light, adding that he was at the bar on June 13, just one week before his arrest.
