Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice looks like he won’t be able to stay out of trouble during the NFL season, as he has been arrested for violating his probation and serving a season on a reckless driving charge starting in 2024.

That’s a lot of offseason hustle for Rice.

The latest is on Tuesday when he was found to be in possession of marijuana (THC) in violation of the July 2025 agreement that sent him to prison for five years and ordered him to serve 30 days in prison for five years.

Rice was booked into the Dallas County, Texas, jail on Tuesday and will serve his 30 days. He is scheduled to be released on June 16.

CHIEFS STAR RASHEE RICE TO FULLY PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING CAMP DESPITE SUSPENSION, ANDY REID SAYS

The violation law sends Rice to prison immediately for the 30 days he was sentenced to serve within five years during his trial rather than adding another 30 days. In a lawsuit last year, Rice was ordered to pay a total of $115,481.91 in restitution to crash victims for their out-of-pocket medical expenses.

With Rice sidelined for the next 30 days, he will miss the remainder of the Chiefs’ OTAs (May 26-28 and June 1-3) and their mandatory minicamp June 9-11.

The breach was first revealed by Kansas City’s KSHB 41 News and confirmed by OutKick and Fox News.

RASHEE RASHEE OF KANSAS CITY OFFICIALS LAUNCHED BY KANSAS GIRL ALLEGING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: REPORT

Neither the NFL nor the Kansas City Chiefs immediately responded to an email seeking comment.

But things could be worse for Rice.

It is possible that this violation of his probation agreement could trigger a new investigation under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

RASHEE RICE WAS SUSPENDED SIX GAMES BY THE NFL

Rice was given a six-game suspension for violating that policy last year in connection with his driving and felony conviction.

In fact, Rice appeared to be out of the limelight with that suspension because it was a negotiated agreement with the league. The NFL originally wanted Rice’s suspension to exceed a double-digit number of games, per source. Rice wanted to miss more than a month, according to the source, and the sides agreed to a settlement before hearings officer Sue L. Robinson ruled on the matter.

A new Personal Conduct Policy investigation could result in Rice missing more games when the 2026 regular season begins.

The Chiefs have an obvious problem on their hands.

Rice, one of the team’s best receivers with 156 catches in his first three NFL seasons, has proven he can’t be trusted to get out of trouble. It’s possible the club could fine Rice for missing their mandatory minicamp.

Rice last year pleaded guilty to hit-and-run involving serious injury and speeding on a highway causing bodily injury — both third-degree felonies.

Rice could not be reached for comment Tuesday — because he is in jail.
