The liberal networks have been leading the way in wall-to-wall coverage of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool drama over the past few days.
According to a new study by the Conservative Media Research Center, the five networks ran nearly seven hours between June 14 and June 22.
CNN led the pack with 215 minutes and 37 seconds of coverage, the equivalent of more than three and a half hours of its programming. MS NOW followed with 160 minutes and 51 seconds, which equates to more than two and a half hours of performance.

Among the three broadcast networks, CBS News led with more than 15 minutes of air time. ABC News came in second with more than 10.5 minutes of reporting, followed by NBC News at about 9.5 minutes.
“When the broadcast networks ran 35 minutes and 10 seconds of airtime, that number looks smaller than it is,” writes Bill D’Agostino of NewsBusters. “ABC, CBS, and NBC broadcast only two and a half hours worth of live news each day, compared to the average 19 hours on CNN and MS NOW. In cable news hours, those 35 minutes equal 267 minutes and 16 seconds, which is even more than CNN’s coverage.”

The Reflecting Pool has become fodder in political circles after an algae bloom took over the landmark shortly after restoration efforts from the Trump administration. The repairs cost an estimated $15 million.
Some in the media seem happy about the algae outbreak as President Donald Trump has been eager to make Washington, DC great for his second term, especially as America’s 250th birthday approaches next month.

Reporters flocked to the Reflecting Pool to check out the murky water and peeling blue sealant that had just been installed.
Several people have also been arrested for allegedly vandalizing the Reflecting Pool, including 67-year-old David Hearn, a three-time Olympian who was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of vandalizing government property.
