Democratic strategists reportedly want the 2028 presidential candidate to be a “straight, white, Christian man” after the latest loss, Axios reports.
“Some top Democrats are quietly debating a difficult question: whether the party’s best bet to win the presidency in 2028 is to nominate a man — perhaps a white, Christian man,” Axios reported Sunday.

Axios acknowledged that this concern will bring down several high-profile candidates in 2028, including Gov. JB Pritzker of Illinois, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Sen. Ruben Gallego, California Rep. Ro Khanna and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
