England’s World Cup fan wearing a giant cowboy hat gives a perfect verdict on Texas brisket before the Croatia game

The Scottish football fan was impressed by American hospitality and the unique experience
Scottish World Cup visitor Shaun Alexander talks about his epic journey across the United States, highlighting the unexpected kindness and hospitality from America’s diverse communities. His viral posts describe unique experiences, including enjoying large portions of mac and cheese and watching military convoys. Alexander expresses deep appreciation for the warm reception, describing it as a truly ‘uncanny’ and ‘sweet’ experience.
One of the best parts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been watching fans from all over the world come through the United States and see all that we have to offer.
And, by that, I mean mostly food.
Now, we’ve got an English fan giving his take on Texas-style BBQ, and he’s doing it while wearing a cowboy hat that might be a little smaller than the one Lloyd Christmas wears in “Dumb and Dumber.”

England kicks off their World Cup campaign with a game against strong rivals Croatia, and before the game, Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth decided to interview some fans before the game.
Which, we all read, is almost always gold, Jerry, and it was again on this occasion.

“Hey, I love beer and this country, anyway; it’s really good,” said a fan.
This boy is now ruling.
After the American hospitality was delicious, the reporter asked him if he had Texas BBQ.
“I had Texas BBQ yesterday, I had a lovely brisket,” he said before adding “fat” over “lean,” which tells me this guy knows football because that’s where the flavor is. “…I picked it up, he put the sauce on it, he dropped it in my mouth, it melted in my mouth. It was so good. It’s the best beef I’ve ever had in my life.”
THE VERDICT IS IN: EUROPEANS CONCERNED ABOUT 2026 WORLD CUP AMERICA

A fan talked about eating pork chops and mac and cheese (which he said was average), then had a question.
“What is this Brussels sprouts gratin all about?” he asked. “We have Brussels sprouts at Christmas in England; why do you have them on your BBQ?”
Good question, and I hope you read this because I can answer it.
Brother, like 10 or 15 years ago someone cracked the code on Brussels sprouts. It is not considered junk food that your mother forced you to eat against your will. They are the first side of the BBQ when tossed with cheese or slathered. They are even successful as an appetizer in many joints.
Throw some crispy chili on your Brussels sprouts next Christmas and prepare to blow your grandma’s mind to smithereens.
Before wrapping things up, the reporter asked a fan about his game day plans, I bet you can guess.
“We will get drunk before the game,” he said. “We’ll get drunk during the game. Then we’ll get drunk after the game.”

I’m sure this exciting team was alive, as the Three Lions cruised to a 4-2 win over Croatia thanks to two first-half goals from star player Harry Kane.
