Explosives trailer bursts into flames on Tennessee interstate, no injuries

A trailer full of explosives burst into flames near Tennessee on Saturday night, sending pyrotechnics shooting across the road and forcing authorities to temporarily shut down traffic as emergency responders responded.
Video shared by the Chattanooga Fire Department shows fireworks going off in the air and exploding in multiple directions as flames engulf a trailer on Interstate 75 northbound near Ooltewah.
“Chattanooga Fire, Tri-Comm, and law enforcement responded to a vehicle fire on I-75NB past the Ooltewah exit Saturday night,” the department said in a Facebook post. “It involved explosives that were exploding from different directions, putting drivers at risk.”
Although there was chaos in the incident, no injuries were reported.

The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department said the trailer was full of explosives and they all went up in flames, sparking an explosion throughout the incident.

As a precaution, authorities temporarily closed the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 75 while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire. Tri-Community said emergency vehicles traveled northbound on the southbound lanes and used the route to move water to crews fighting the flames.

A spokesperson for the Chattanooga Fire Department told Fox News Digital that the incident occurred outside city limits and that the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department served as the lead agency, while Chattanooga personnel responded under a mutual aid agreement to the scene.
The spokesman said the southbound side of the interstate was reopened immediately, while the northbound lanes remained closed as crews monitored hot spots and removed the burned trailer from the road.

Dramatic video from the scene shows fireworks flying through the night sky before exploding on the road as traffic is kept away from the flames. Firefighters can be seen using hoses while the car is engulfed in flames.
Authorities have not released any other information about what caused the fire.
