Jemele Hill’s sidekick Cari Champion has finally admitted that she ‘doesn’t like’ WNBA star Caitlin Clark

There was a time when the cheap girls of the WNBA and the sports media denied their disdain for Caitlin Clark. “Nobody doesn’t like Caitlin. We’re just telling the truth,” they said.
Now, some of them brag about it.
Former ESPN and failed broadcaster Cari Champion admitted as much this week during a podcast with Jemele Hill.
“That kind of blatant bias pisses me off,” Champion said while discussing Clark’s dismissal of the controversy surrounding his late start in last week’s home game.
“I don’t know if this is his fault, because I think it might be unfair to me that this is his fault. But at the same time, it’s like, why is he getting this special treatment? It’s, again, another example of the league and its fans being so precious to him.”
Champion then admits that he doesn’t like Clark as a person.
“When we get a glimpse of Caitlin Clark, I’m like, ‘I don’t like you. I don’t like the way you behave on the court,'” Champion said.
And what about the players who targeted Clark with cheap shots, hard fouls and obvious anger?

In particular, Champion says he doesn’t like Clark’s “entitlement.”
“The way you carry yourself, this privilege, the way you talk to your coaches… you enjoy that. So if that’s what you enjoy, if you want to be a guy, if you want to be a strong person, then so be it. Because we come to you the same way we come to anyone else.”
Except you’re not.
Like many of the WNBA’s self-selected analysts, Champion codes nearly every player besides Clark, including Angel Reese and DiJonai Carrington, both of whom are clearly lining up against her.

Ironically, Champion is best known as Jemele Hill’s sidekick. However, in many ways, he is even more unlikable.
Hill plays a character. His anger at White athletes, voters and America often feels effective. Off camera, Hill chooses to work with, interact with, and hang out with the very people he publicly rejects.
On the other hand, Champion seems really bitter.

That reputation followed him to ESPN, where his colleagues often viewed him as sad and difficult. He also seems to be very frustrated with his lack of success on the field.
OutKick has reached out to Champion for comment. If he responds, we will update this story.
In recent years, Champion has tried to break into political commentary on CNN. The transition did not go smoothly. He often sounds unprepared and uninformed when discussing real-world political issues.
Here is one example of a debate with a conservative CNN commentator:
Not good.
In many ways, the Champion himself comes up with the title, which is a term he uses to insult Clark.

Still, we appreciate his admission that he doesn’t “like” Clark. The next time the silly girls insist that no one will protect her from Fever’s bodyguard, we can point to the Champion’s words.
Now we know for sure that Cari Champion does.
