Madison Beer features Justin Herbert in a hot new music video, Xandra Pohl releases the first single from the fun season.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there. For anyone who has young children and is responsible for making sure they have a gift for their better half, I hope you’ve been on top of that and trying to find something this morning. I’ve been there.
I don’t remember completely forgetting or running out on Mother’s Day morning to get something for the kids, but it has occurred to me before and I’ve done some last minute thinking to come up with a gift idea. Not this year. I was all over it.
We were out and my wife brought up something she couldn’t care less about for Christmas. I took a picture, had two adults, and made a flawless gameplan. I had a gift on Friday morning and Mother’s Day was taken care of without having to pick up a gift card or Edible Arrangements or something on Saturday.
Spencer Jones was dominated by Front Row Amy in his first MLB season
It’s happened before and it will happen again as long as legendary Milwaukee Brewers fan Front Row Amy can still show up at the ballpark for home games. The person who will play for the first time in Major League Baseball will be managed by him.
On Friday, it was New York Yankees prospect Spencer Jones who had his first time being dominated by a Brewers fan. As my father said in a family group discussion, “Welcome to the greats.”
And as one of my brothers said, Jones is “Definitely not in Double A anymore.”
No, he’s no longer in Double A and in retrospect, Jones didn’t have a chance in his major league debut. Front Row Amy was ready for the bright lights of the Yankees’ hopes and so was “throwing a dildo 104,” as my brother so eloquently put it about the pitch that greeted the 6-foot-7 outfielder.
Of course, respect for the game runs in our family. He was 0-for-2 with a walk and a double on Friday night. He pitched again on Saturday and added two more strikeouts to his tally.

Madison Beer has featured Justin Herbert in one of her music videos
Love haters may see Justin Herbert’s appearance in his girlfriend Madison Beer’s “lovergirl” music video as part of a culture of humiliation. They might say he should focus on preparing for next season and getting the Los Angeles Chargers over the hump.
Some even said that he shouldn’t be in the weight room and play patty cake with his girlfriend. You won’t hear that about me.

Herbert does nothing and pretends to be in a relationship with a pop singer as if he is getting old. He’s not just in Madison Beer’s music video, he continues to give the NFL the real relationship it deserves. How can you support that?
Also, it’s not like Beers isn’t known for his MVP-worthy performances. You are, and when you strive for greatness, you revolve around greatness.
Chargers fans have nothing to worry about. The fact that Herbert is taking time out of the offseason to appear in a music video is a good thing. It shows that he is not worried about continued failure or the fact that the franchise seems cursed.
You can’t play with the weight of an entire franchise on your shoulders. You can if you run into a music video with your girlfriend without a care in the world.

College baseball
– Jim T in San Diego writes:
At this time of the season, I usually go to half a dozen or more in college baseball games. This year the year got away from me. But with some college friends visiting, I was able to sneak across town.
First place: Point Loma Nazarene University. The parking lot sits above the Pacific, with the soccer field another 50 feet up the bluffs.
There is almost never a dirty spot in Carroll B. Land Stadium – many times, there were wild pitches or balls passed by a runner on third – never once did a runner hit a home run. With the backstop perhaps 12 feet behind home plate, the catcher simply turns and waits for the rebound. (Though I hate being stuck in the Uecker seats every time back in the fifth (and last) row…)
However, the Sea Lions had already won the PacWest regular season title and the top seed in the conference playoffs. I had to go in the top of the fifth, PLNU leading 9-4, and they ended up winning by that score – and, I realized later, they also won the nightcap.
Across town at San Diego State, the Aztecs were playing Nevada for the Mountain West regular season title. They would need a win on Friday night to break the tie with the Wolfpack. By coming back to win Saturday night, the Aztecs won the title – among their last Mountain West titles as they join the realigned Pac-12 this summer.
So now four of our local baseball teams are in their conference playoffs, UCSD is third in the Big West, and Cal State San Marcos is the #2 seed in the CCAA Conference.. (USD finished a distant 8th in the WCC,)

LAX
– Mick in Atlantic Beach, NC writes:
Hello SeanJo. Love your stuff.
Lacrosse plug (lax). A great game: fast, high scoring, hockey-like communication. It’s an open game like soccer. The average score is about 15-12. Assisted by many goals – good passing. Some of the best stuff will fit right in OK. Another recently had an assist from the back which resulted in him being behind a shot and a goal. Both boys were walking and under supervision. Bang-bang stuff.
I predict that you and your students will be immersed early next season (early spring). The wider market is sorely lacking in this game. It has grown from an elite sport in the northeast 20 years ago to a nationwide presence now. Not just colleges, but high schools and youth clubs everywhere.
The season is over now, the conference tournaments are winding down. But it’s a good time to show.
Now it’s time for the big dance. The NCAA tournament begins (select Sunday today) this week, with the final four at the end of May. The championship game is traditionally during the day. None of this 9pm start crap.
The NC game is on Memorial Day, with the Semis the Saturday before.
Early Memorial Day Weekend Grilling
– Gen X Warren M writes:
Hello SeanJo,
My wife got fresh Florida corn on the cob (a lot was destroyed by the snow in early February, so the prices are high), so we made Mexican street corn and grilled cheeseburgers as a Memorial Day weekend cookout.
Great job on the Big Foot stories and Sunday Screencaps!
