Michael Rapaport is doubling down on his plans to run for mayor of New York City.

On Tuesday, the 60-year-old actor and comedian said he plans to run against him Mayor Zohran Mamdaniknown for his social democratic policies, with the idea of ​​”New York City street fighting” in 2029.

“I never thought I’d even consider running for mayor of New York City and I’m going to do it with good intentions and I’m not going to do it the way any other political person has,” Rapaport told Chris Cuomo during an appearance on News Nation. “The only way to beat this guy is to win and take a New York City street fight attitude.”

I think he’s the biggest bully in the history of politics…and that’s saying a lot,” he continued. “But New York City needs to do something, we need to plan right now because 2029 is approaching and yes, I am running for mayor of New York City and I will stop until I feel that there is someone more qualified to defeat Zohran moron.”

In addition to making the announcement on his podcast, Rapaport also took Instagram sharing the news, emphasizing in the video that he was “born and raised in New York City.”
