Pentagon UFO files reveal unexplained ‘mother orb’ incident in 2023

Harvard physicist discusses mysterious orb sightings in newly released Pentagon UFO files
Avi Loeb, a Harvard philosopher, discusses the recently released Pentagon UFO files, which highlight incredible sightings from 2023 that include mysterious “mother orbs” seen by law enforcement officials. Loeb says 40% of these phenomena remain unexplained, raising national security concerns about technology that could be hostile or of extraterrestrial origin, calling it “the greatest discovery ever made by mankind.”

Newly released government UFO files describe a puzzling incident in 2023 in which witnesses reported a large “mother orb” in the sky was seen ejecting small objects, a phenomenon Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb says remains unexplained despite official reviews of the event.
Loeb said the unsealed documents include a letter from the director of the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) that describes a two-day period in October 2023 when law enforcement officials saw orbs in the sky behaving in ways that investigators could not fully explain.

Loeb described the situation as a national security concern and, if man-made explanations are released, it would be a scientific breakthrough.
“Now, there are two possibilities. If you’re down on earth, and you say, ‘I’m a real person…’ you have to admit that there are things that may be produced by opposing nations that we don’t know about,” said Loeb during Fox & Friends Weekend.

“And they are close to sensitive areas, strategic assets. So that is a major concern for national security,” he added.
AARO reported that a large proportion of unknown cases remain unsolved, with approximately 40% having no reasonable explanation.
Loeb called for more research and funding dedicated to studying these events and whether they could be linked to foreign intelligence.

“Are there any drones with special technology that we don’t know about?” he asked, describing the lack of intelligence on the matter as “a hole in our defense system.”
If the investigation fails to yield an earthly explanation, however, other possibilities may need to be considered, Loeb said.

“However, the icing on the cake, after looking at that, if we end up concluding that it’s not man-made – from some extraterrestrial space – that will be the greatest discovery ever made by mankind.”
