PWA Champion Rohan Raja explains why fans should watch the Maple Leaf Pro

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling (MLP) was renewed for 2024, featuring quality pay-per-view events as it attracted the attention of another major promotion in North America.

In June, MLP will debut on TSN and add another wrestling show to the huge menu for wrestling fans who can watch the show almost every day of the week if they so desire.

“Ravenous” Rohan Raja, who holds the Grail of Pro Wrestling Alliance (PWA) Champion, told Fox News Digital why fans should put MLP on their watch list.

“I remember when we ran our first show many fans, I, even if you go to Twitter and even the headlines will report, the quality is similar to the product of AEW or WWE. It is very high. We have Mauro Renallo as the voice of MLP,” he said. “He’s on fire and doing a lot of things like Jake Paul, he did Anthony Joshua’s last fight, Tyson Fury’s last fight. We’ve got all these guys full of stars.

“The way I sum it up is like a world clash but every week because we have guys from AEW there, we have guys from Japan, we have guys from Mexico, we have guys and girls from WWE coming to it. So, I feel like that’s a really big thing where they’re not only showing Canadian talent but you feel like you’re playing everything in the world. clash but I feel like we’re a promotion that had everyone – tasting everything into one thing with the TSN taping and how that’s going to go, it’s going to add to what we’ve built and it’s something you won’t want to miss.

Raja defeated Jake Something at MLP Forged in Excellence to win the PWA Champion’s Grail. PWA was formed as a partnership between MLP, Oceania Pro Wrestling and Qatar Pro Wrestling.

It was one of the first major wins of Raja’s career and put him in the prime of the promotion’s future after working his way through small independent promotions in WWE NXT UK and then MLP.

“When I came back to Canada, I was having discussions about going back to TNA and everything that was happening, I read reports that (Scott D’Amore) was reviving Maple Leaf Wrestling. And I was like, no way,” he recalled to Fox News Digital. “He wasn’t telling me personally anything. I was working with him, he has another independent promotion called Border City Wrestling and he let me know what was going on. I was like, man, when he revived Maple Leaf Wrestling – my grandfather knew about Maple Leaf wrestling, that’s a big deal.

“We did our first show in 2024 and I won the PWA Champions Grail. It traces its roots back to Rikidōzan in Japan and Kenny Omega. It’s like a pedigree title. Since then, we’ve been doing quality pay-per-view shows and the goal was to get a TV deal. And finally they got one with TSN to promote Itcadsling which is remarkably fast Itcasling Itscale. Canadian talent but shows talent International, I’m very involved. I’m one of the top players there. I got a lot of freedom with my wrestling.”

Raja suggested that everything he went through, everything he learned along the way, culminated in a great opportunity with MLP.

“I feel like I’ve taken everything I’ve learned and applied it to MLP. I feel like it really shows that I can hold my own as a main event player,” he said. “I’ve had great matches with big names from Rich Swann to Moose to Bishop Dyer to Rhyno to Fred Rosser. I’ve wrestled a lot of guys, even all over the world. I’ve wrestled Robbie Eagles in Qatar for the belt. But it’s really the main product of promoting Canadians and having that international flavor that I bring to the company.”
