Riley Gaines calls on Trump to show ‘humility’ after controversial Jesus AI post

OutKick’s Riley Gaines spoke about his criticism of President Donald Trump that led to his response that he’s not a “fan” of the conservative influencer, reiterating Tuesday that he thought the Christ-like image of an AI he posted was inappropriate.
Gaines said he received “tremendous pushback” from MAGA for his idea.
“Many things, in fact, could be true here. No. 1, I believe that humility will serve President Trump, No. 2, God will not be laughed at, and blasphemy is not something to take lightly, and three, I do not regret my vote at all,” said Gaines in his program. “But this internet base, the discourse that’s out there, makes you feel like you’re a crazy person for saying those things.”
Gaines was among the voices on Monday who objected to a photo of a robed Trump healing a sick man, surrounded by supporters and patriotic images.

Americans on both sides of the aisle, including many Trump supporters, condemned the image as inappropriate and offensive.
Trump was asked on Monday about his photo, which he later removed.
“I thought it was me as a doctor and related to the Red Cross … that we support, and only fake news can come up,” Trump told reporters.
“It should be me as a doctor, making people better,” Trump continued. “And I make people better.”

Later in the day, a reporter asked Trump if he was removing the photo because of criticism from Gaines and other supporters.
“I didn’t listen to Riley Gaines. I’m not a big fan of Riley, actually,” Trump said.
Gaines also asked guest and Green Beret veteran Nick Freitas about the situation on Tuesday.
Freitas said he was happy that Trump removed the photo, adding that there were three groups of people who responded to the controversy: People who always insulted Trump, MAGA supporters who thought that Trump should not be criticized because he made common cause with liberals, and “common sense” people like Freitas and Gaines who thought he should not have posted but still supported his presidency.

“Anyone who puts themselves in a picture where they’re obviously making some kind of comparison between themselves and Christ, it’s not a good idea, is it?” he said. “Christ is a man to be respected.”
Gaines also explained his thoughts on social media, saying that he continues to support his agenda.
“I love the President and am so thankful he is in the Oval Office. Yes, I will continue to support him and the America First agenda,” Gaines wrote. “At the end of the day, I don’t do anything to get anyone’s approval. Our purpose in this world is to praise [God] in everything we do.”
