She will enter this week as the West Coast Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion. “I watched it a little bit when I was a kid,” Robbie said of getting into pro wrestling. “I kind of fell for it. Then, my best friend put me on it and I started watching it again. And I thought I’d better do it than watch it. It’s a little bit about Johnnie Robbie – he just doesn’t take anything from anybody.
“I come from Chicano roots – the way I was admired. From the sneakers I wear to the way I dress, you can tell it’s street style and some people might be reminded of home.”
Robbie said that he started practicing as a referee before he could get many points.
“My best friend, like I said, was like, ‘Hey, find out how to be a wrestler because you always say you want to be something new every day,’ and this was something I was digging and I tried to find a school because it’s hard to find a school, especially here in LA because there are a few of them,” he said. “I started training and I didn’t refine like everyone else and my coaches at the time, they suggested that I become a lawyer until I was ready to start my primary. I believe that they did it – they from the school they came from, they will do that. I took the idea from there.”

Robbie told Fox News Digital that he tries to grow his roots when he comes to the ring.
He said the gear he wears from head to toe is all related to where he is and his origin.
“I came here at a good time and so I’m upset or I—-ed off and I tend to p—ed off easily. I think I tend to show that inside the ring. I have a quick temper and when I’m on top, I get a little, I don’t want to be cocky, but I’m really relaxed,” he said. “I think a lot of what you see is somebody who’s not as big as everybody else or just being able to hit the beats and the way I move in the ring,
“I think that comes in handy… One of my best friends, Alan Breeze, I go, ‘I don’t know what my style is,’ and he’s like, ‘You’re a little pitbull, you’re a little dog, you’re just like dirt.’ Your style is, I think he said, ‘Scrappy.’ I think that helps when I participate. You see that. As I said, I come from the way I was raised by a group called, ‘Cholos.’ Like I said, the Chicano way of life. I think you see a lot of that when I’m on the field.”

Robbie emphasized that being able to share his background with the people who come to his programs is important to him and how much of a difference he makes.

“I personally like it because sometimes people say, ‘Oh, you’re cool,’ and I say, ‘Yeah, no, you don’t get it because you’ve never seen it before.’ Unlike when I’m here in LA or up north in San Francisco and the West Coast, I have little girls like me or I have older fans and they’re like, ‘Oh my God she reminds me of my sister, she reminds me of my tia,'” Robbie said. “Little girls see themselves in me or see their big sister in me.
“So, I think that whether you don’t see where I’m from or if it’s young kids seeing it or people who grew up like me seeing it, that makes a difference. I’m just happy to be that person that you’re reminded of somewhere because even if you’re not used to the way I was raised against a little girl here in LA, I enjoy this thing, that now, that’s it, for now. They understand that.’
Robbie said he would be in six games during the week, but it wasn’t his first game.
He said he was hoping to do at least three shows and do high-quality programs, until many people invited him to participate in their programs. A sense of hustle is Robbie’s driving force.
RISING PRO WRESTLING STAR PERSEPHONE TO BE PART OF CMLL’S MATCH AT SLAM FEST, RESPONDS TO TONY KHAN PRAIS
“I think we’re all busy … But I was looking, one fan was making a list of everyone who had matches, and I remember thinking going in, like, ‘Oh, I only want three matches this year,’ because last year I think I just had too many. I want quality over quantity,” Robbie said. “I didn’t want to expire or less. And then, I get these opportunities, big names or people that I always wanted to wrestle. I was like, ‘Oh, okay, okay, I think, I’m free, so. …’ “It’s Mania week and I just, I don’t even know how to explain it. everyone from all over the world is here.
“If you’re not there, you have a lot of games (matches), or if you’re not there at all, I hope you’d like to get out there. I know it’s difficult – it’s a whole week of rest. Practice for me, that busy thought, are you giving yourself everything you can? If I could do it, it would be three games and I’d do everything I could and get those three games good enough to Wrest. It’s okay to miss again because the chaos continues on the other side. What can you do if you don’t make it to that week for me, I use every moment and every opportunity to chase anything and I also understand that there are limitations, as long as you do it and you don’t, to me, you are busy.
