Spencer Pratt has filed a formal complaint accusing his opponent, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, of violating election laws by allegedly campaigning too close to the ballot box.

“Karen Bass just broke election law here,” the reality star, who is running for mayor as an Independent, wrote in X on Tuesday.

He went on to say, “He used to break the law without accountability, and he even filmed himself doing it. After all, those days have passed. We have just filed a complaint for playing in the election illegally. We must protect our democracy.”

Pratt added that “Voting within 100 feet of a ballot box is AGAINST THE LAW. Soliciting ballots at the ballot box IS AGAINST THE LAW. This clear violation of the law shows a total disregard for the law and our democratic process.”

He went on to say that a person in a position like Bass “should especially respect our democratic rules, but this is just a sign of the Karen mafia-like regime. ‘It’s your rules, but not mine.’

The 42-year-old included a photo of the complaint in her post, adding, “We will respect the law and our democratic values. Enjoy your conference calls with your lawyers, Karen!”

Under state law, candidates are not allowed to campaign within 100 feet of a ballot box.

“This type of activity that is so close to voters has the potential to intimidate and negatively impact voters; that’s why these laws and restrictions exist to begin with,” McNulty wrote.
