Swedish World Cup defender’s wife jumped on a mechanical bull, Eleonora Incardona tests hotdog cookies?

Welcome to Sunday Screencaps. Kicking things off for us today is Maja Lindelof. She is the wife of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof and has been labeled “the hottest WAG in the Premier League.”

This was not a topic he was just given one day. There is a science behind it or at least an application that makes it sound very legitimate. Maja’s score for this app was 9.7 out of 10.

Walking that high point may be off-putting to some, it doesn’t seem to have occurred to Lindelof’s wife. He is embracing all that comes with his World Cup visit to the US, as fans and promoters.

Last week, Maja enjoyed the Texas nightlife. That included jumping on a bull, because everyone knows if you’re in Texas and you don’t jump on a bull, you’re missing out.

“Slightly drunk when posting this, may delete it later,” he captioned his bull riding machine video.

After sitting on the bull’s back, Maja turns around, and embraces a piece of Texas that I’m sure even some Texans take for granted.

The safety of the church

– Jim T in San Diego writes:

A friend of mine who is a priest had a dinner at his place last night – he is still in the Army for another three years (he heard the call to ministry while he was an Army officer) and is reporting as a chaplain this summer.

As I pulled into the parking lot of a church in the San Diego area, I saw two armed security guards – one of them a Boy Scout buddy. The last time I saw her was about two years ago when I pulled into the parking lot of this fun, old candle shop in Rancho Santa Fe that was closing after a few decades in business and I wanted to buy my wife a birthday present. It turns out that the candle shop shares the street with the synagogue.

A friend of mine was telling me last night that the private security guard business for houses of worship is through the roof. Yes, we just shot a mosque a few weeks ago in San Diego, and a few years ago the same at a nearby synagogue.

But what a sad situation that people need armed guards to guard them when we worship.

Wondering if anyone else in SC Nation has this situation in their place of worship?

What’s wrong with this ‘Türkiye?’

– Scott from Henderson Nevada writes:

Hi Sean,

Long time reader, first email.

I feel like someone should point out how ridiculous the World Cup coverage of the USA game was last night when they kept emphasizing “Türkiye” (Yes, my email’s autocorrect added all the extra punctuation above the name.). It would be one thing to call Germany “Deutchland” or Japan “Nihon”…why does Fox carelessly change how we say Turkey…IMO they just sounded like donkey rescuers all night long….

A series of Screencaps

– Jon writes:

Sean,

Did I miss something? Won’t Screencaps go dark on Saturday ending the streak? All lashes have to end at some point but this looks like you’re coming out with a whimper instead of a piercing. No taking out the bug bag before a Cat 5 storm. No digging out from 5 feet of ice working on a pond. Even being drafted into the Vikings rowing team during the World Cup would be welcome.

Oh well.

Sean Jo

Hi Jon, I’m just venting. I sound rubbery when asked to do so. The decision to go dark on Saturday was not mine. I believe the last series ended with a whimper too.

World Cup

– Rick writes:

Happy Friday Sean,

I’m not a big ‘futboller’, hooligan, or soccer player of any kind, but I watch the international level of qualifying for the World Cup finals and find the tournament itself enjoyable to watch, generally. I can appreciate a lot of people not being interested in the game since football is a rarity for most sports fans in the States, but being interested in a game because of who’s in it is as bad as watching Super Bowl commercials, a complete waste of time that misses the whole point of the event. I think we have a different interest in the World Cup games.

When I watch sports, I’m only interested in the action and I don’t care who is in the stands and how they react (never forget the negative impact of one T Swift at a football game lest we repeat that mistake). I understand giving fans or family members regular camera shots of a fan or family member of a player who has just done something good (or worse), but these camera shots of those ‘celebrities’ cameras, most of whom I would imagine should not have paid anything to enter unlike the exorbitant costs the fans were stuck with and who probably didn’t see any kind of football until they were on the field, was sad. The other side of it is that barring injuries, soccer doesn’t stop until halftime/fulltime (those ridiculous ‘hydration breaks’ are endless), so every second spent in the stands is missing something happening off the field.

It’s a shame you didn’t really watch the USA team as it was fun to watch. What I remember is that they generally played a very defensive game in hopes of creating a few attacking opportunities per game. This time, however, they played an attacking, aggressive style that has resulted in them scoring more goals than they have ever done in a World Cup at this point, and the boys themselves seem to be a great team mate for each other which is always great to see. Who knows how far they’ll go, but it should be a fun ride as long as it lasts. Go Team USA!

About the clock business, and I’m not a soccer expert, but the odd thing about the game is that once the clock starts it runs until the referee stops it until half/full time is over unlike most games here where the clock stops for every whistle or foul. The extra/suspension team is an attempt to make up for lost time due to fouls, hits, reset injuries, and more so that you can still play nearly enough game time. A soccer umpire has much more discretion and individual judgment to influence the game than a baseball umpire or football referee, so it is up to the umpire to decide when the game is over.

Keep up the good work as you spell Joe next week. Have a great weekend, and I hope the FoxNews audience you’re listening to from now on is doing well.

Hi Rick, thanks for reaching out. Just to be clear, I don’t like the game of football at all. I don’t watch it. I don’t think looking at Super Bowl commercial comparisons is entirely accurate. I will have to watch the football and choose to focus on the actions on the pitches so that is the case.

That’s not the case. I catch all the action on social media, which I choose to focus on, on social media. But if you enjoy this game, have at it. It’s not for me. I don’t watch Super Bowl commercials. I will only sing if the USMNT goes on a deep run. That’s all, those are my terms.

The ‘Steak Rack’ shown by Joe on Thursday – That looks like a commercial sized Santa Maria grill

– Drew in Katy, Texas writes:

Sean,

Thanks for filling in for Joe. Joe showed off the big “steak rack” as he calls it on Thursday. That looks like a commercial size Santa Maria grill. A crank that raises and lowers the grill relative to the charcoal is a common feature.

That’s it for the last Sunday of June. I have to finish this whole day. Throw the meat on the grill and send it my way. I will resume my relief activities from Monday to Thursday.
