A Brooklyn coffee shop owner who publicly attacked Rep. Dan Goldman, DN.Y., because of his support for Israel is reportedly facing tax and health code issues and previously donated to the campaign of Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner.

The news comes as Poetica Coffee faces a civil rights investigation by the Justice Department after the store publicly targeted Goldman, a Jewish attorney and supporter of Israel.

Poetica Coffee is owned by Parviz Mukhamadkulov, an Uzbek immigrant, according to a Washington Free Beacon report.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show Mukhamadkulov contributed $35 to Platner’s campaign. Platner’s campaign has been dogged by various scandals, including a Nazi-related tattoo on his chest.

In a now-deleted social media post, Poetica Coffee lashed out at the Jewish conference.

“Hey @repdangoldman, we see you stopped by our store today for a coffee,” the post said. “Can you see that it doesn’t taste like genocide juice? Or are you still having trouble telling the difference? Look, here at Poetica, we don’t worship racists, fascists, homophobes, genocide enablers, or anyone in between.”

After facing backlash, the coffee shop deleted its entire Instagram account.

“The worst thing is that we didn’t see it right away, even if we fired it,” the post continued. “We gave you a refund—we don’t need your money (probably from AIPAC anyway). Enjoy your loss on Tuesday. Never come to Poetica.”

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has opened a civil rights investigation into the matter.
