President Trump issued a series of endorsements ahead of Tuesday’s primary elections in California, Iowa, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Dakota, including gubernatorial, congressional and Senate races.
Among the candidates Trump has backed is US Rep. Randy Feenstra, R-Iowa, who is seeking to become the next governor of his state.
“As your next Governor, Randy will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Reduce Taxes and Regulations, Promote Made in USA, Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Champion our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Empower Ethanol, Keep Our Border Secure, Stop Immigration Crime, Enforce Our Law, Immigrate, Ensure OUR LAW. Veterans, and Law Enforcement, Improved Election Integrity, and Protect The Second Amendment is under siege,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
In California – a state where Trump and the Republicans have always criticized their Democratic leadership and hope to gain despite the dominance of the Democrats in the state – Trump endorsed Steve Hilton in the mayor’s race. California uses a binary primary system, where all candidates appear on the same ballot and the top two vote getters advance to the general election regardless of party.

“He’s a really good man, watching as this once great state goes to hell. Gavin Newscum and the Democrats have done a terrible job,” Trump said of current Governor Gavin Newsom, a frequent critic of Trump.
“Crime is on the rise, and Taxes are higher than any State in the Country, maybe the World,” Trump added. “Steve can turn it around, before it’s too late, and, as President, I will help him do so! With our Administration, working with a Governor General like Steve Hilton, California will be better than ever.”
He also nominated California GOP Assemblyman James Gallagher, who is running for Congress, and San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, who is also seeking a seat in the House.

Others in California who have received endorsements include Reps. Tom McClintock, Jay Obernolte, and Vince Fong, and Kevin Lincoln, the former mayor of Stockton who is running for a seat in the newly redrawn 13th Congressional District.
Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., also got a nod from Trump.
Other congressional endorsements include Reps. Tom Kean Jr., Jeff Van Drew and Chris Smith, all of New Jersey, and Rep. Troy Downing, R-Mont. Trump also endorsed Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, in her bid for the US Senate.
Trump also endorsed Aaron Flint, who is running to represent Montana; South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley; and Greg Cunningham, a former New Mexico police officer.

Trump had previously endorsed Sen. Mike Rounds, RS.D.
In May, Trump suggested a victory for the minorities he supported in the GOP primaries or runoff elections.
