Bill Maher and David Cross get into a heated war of words about the ‘looney left’ and trans rights, including a 3-year-old child.
Bill Maher has a strong message for stand-up comedian David Cross and his LIBS colleagues who continue to avoid using common sense on the topic of trans in sports and trans kids.
“Good luck with President Vance,” Maher told Cross on a recent episode of the show “Club Random” podcast that turned into a tequila-fueled war of words on a topic credited with getting President Trump elected.
“As I always say to my friends who wake up, we voted for one person. That’s why he lost,” Maher told Cross when he lost to Kamala Harris in 2024.
What started as a conversation about trans in sports eventually turned into a war of words with Cross acting as an elitist expert on the subject because his 8-year-old daughter has two trans friends at school, including one who became trans at age 3. “Three? Yes, sure…who would believe a three-year-old? Children are confused,” Maher replied.
It is this way of thinking, Maher argues, that begins within the “Brooklyn bubble” in which Cross lives. “I want to be in that bubble. I’m paying for it and I want my daughter to be in that bubble. It’s a good bubble,” Cross shot back at Maher for the label.
“It’s a bubble that’s a shield from what’s going on outside the I-do-no-evil bubble… and there’s no s–inside the bubble. No, no. I mean, there’s a little s–t.
“The foam is not mine or my wife’s. It’s my daughter’s. And uh-when I can’t stop her from things my wife and I think are bad.”

Ah, yes, the Brooklyn bubble is a utopia where 3-year-olds turn trans. That logic, as Maher vehemently argues, is why Democrats are in so much trouble in the next election – the looniest of the lefties refuse to understand how crazy it sounds to have children turned at 3 years old.
Equally maddening, Maher notes, is that Cross and other goalkeepers continue to act as if the sport is changing is not a problem. When Maher described Algerian Olympic boxer Imane Khelif as “a man beating a dog to a woman,” in order to win an Olympic gold medal, Cross pretended to be unfamiliar with the title.
However, Cross was quick to point out that she has seen pre-pubescent girls “kicking boys.”

This is where the American Left is in 2026. The conservative left is still as stagnant and mad as ever while there are Maher types now seeing how this will end up in the election.
“Democrats lost voters for transgender rights. Getting them back won’t be easy,” The New York Times warned last summer. Blueprint for voting group he saw that it hurt 67% of swing voters thought Democrats were too focused on “identity politics” in the last voting cycle.

Despite the many opportunities Maher gave Cross to get off his perch, the ultra-lib wasn’t about to budge.
The two agreed that they didn’t want “beef” between each other and hugged as the podcast ended.
